About Addison

Addison Norman (she/her), originally from Dallas, began her early training at Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing Arts and later earned a BFA in Dance and BS in Exercise Science from The University of Texas at Austin. Norman received additional training at The Ailey School, Northwest Dance Project, American Dance Festival, and Orsolina 28. She has performed and studied works by Charles O. Anderson, Marco Goecke, Jiří Kylián, Gesel Mason, Crystal Pite, and Yin Yue.  

 

After performing with Dance Theatre X (Austin, TX) and SALT2 Contemporary Dance (Salt Lake City, UT), Norman moved to San Francisco to expand her performing and choreographic practice. In April 2024, Norman joined ODC Dance Company. At ODC, she has performed works by and collaborated with Sidra Bell, Mia Chong, Catherine Galasso, KT Nelson, Kimi Okada, and Brenda Way.

 

Norman enjoys the craft of choreography and has showcased her work at The University of Texas, the American Dance Festival, Safehouse Arts, and most recently in ODC’s 74th Pilot Program. Currently, Norman explores the impact of the digital world on our connection to our bodies and intimacy with others. Through movement, Norman seeks to reconnect the body to itself and others.
